Service Industry Sucks Because of the Customers

The thought of training new employees in food service still gives me nightmares, not because of the new employees. Customers to food service are often skewed by the stereotypes of the employees there, resulting in a tendency to be rude and abusive.

Many times the customer will believe a mistake is made when it wasn't then go into a fit of rage when this is pointed out. Cognitive dissonance accounts for some, but most often it is the arrogance of thinking the food service employee is below them before ever entering the establishment.

The thing is that being the customer does not always make you right, or even intelligent. To the contrary, in most cases.

Customers believe service employees can do anything the customer demands. Sorry but moving mountains is not within the power of service employees anymore than you.

Arrogance of the customer believes that the service employee is a leech on the system or a failure in life, which is far from true. Most service employees are, in fact, people trying to make it in spite of the odds being stacked against them by you, the customer.

Recently businesses have had to always take the employee's side because the problems caused by customer arrogance. Now you have a really good reason to make most service employees love you, that means be courteous, friendly, and tip well.

But I know most customers will not do this, most will continue to be total assholes toward every employee because of their arrogance. So thanks, you assholes, for shooting your own foots off.

Now here's the kicker, consider this exact same problem applies to religion. Customers being the theists, and service employees being the atheists.

So that leads me to this final thought: Thank you, theists, for destroying your own religions.

Civility is Tyranny from Religion

Civility is one concept that has been redefined by idiots to mean that anyone who disagrees is just rude. It's a method of avoiding admitting they are too stupid or ignorant on a subject to be saying anything.

Civility has nothing to do with agreeing, or with the use of slang, or even insults and other such things, except that all those are part of being civil. At it's basic definition, civil is essentially a synonym for social, as to interact with someone of the same species.

The part of the word's definition that religious people abuse is the inclusion of social laws, rules of conduct which we assume others follow within any given situation. But these rules change with every combination of social structure, setting, and level of familiarity.

This means that being civil on one website on the internet can be very different from being civil on another and is certainly very different than civility on the street. Civility on the street has a different set of behaviors than civility within an office, and the difference between an office and home life is practically contradictory.

Religious people attempt to force everyone in all these situations to follow the social rules of their delusion, basically how one pretends to behave in church. The irony here is that they never behave how they assume others should behave anyway, it's one of many hypocrisies of religion.

Too add insult to injury, civility has nothing to do with language or words. That's gotta fucking hurt, Christians and Muslims.

I Just Proved Your God Is A Myth

Christopher Hitchens once said "What can be asserted without evidence can be dismissed without evidence." The logic is so simple, elegant, and completely undeniable.

This is why religious people hated him, he was such a great thinker and was capable of presenting inarguable conclusions to any argument. So now I present the argument against all gods ever proposed by all humanity.

This simple argument is undeniable and flawless, I dare anyone to attempt to oppose it using more than "nuh uh." Now let the fun begin.

1. Any fact will be arrived at, and provide identical results, through testing and verification of evidence.

2. Any god must be taught to children for the children to arrive at the conclusion as their parents.

3. Therefore gods are inventions of the human imagination and not fact.

Done, no god proposed by humans is a fact, and therefore believing it exists is delusional.

USA, Home Of The Delusional

The price of religious belief is often obfuscated by the closet believers, those idiots who always defend religion with the old canard of "what's wrong with …" The fact is that everything is wrong with religion, everything.

I have gone into great detail about many of the inherent flaws with any belief that opposes reality, and why there are no true moderates. But one thing I never dud was state the simplest reason why belief that opposes reality is dangerous, because I always thought this was common sense.

If a delusion is present in one person we know they are at risk of that delusion causing their detachment from reality to affect their actions, bringing harm to themselves and others. We also know that the delusion will mask other possible mental problems, seriously dangerous and violent ones.

So we closely monitor this person for signs of other such dangers to reduce the chances of them bringing harm, making it possible to step in and hopefully prevent their delusion from getting out of hand. Now assume we did not recognize the delusion, or we called it something else, and considered it acceptable.

Delusions have this funny effect, making a person lose their ability to discern reality from imagination. When the delusion focuses on a television series we immediately understand the fact that it's delusion.

But when the same level of delusion focuses on a god we dismiss it as belief or religion. We make the delusion acceptable and pay less or no attention to those who suffer from it, but it is no less a loss of ability to discern fact from fantasy.

To make matters worse, many ideas that are common in humans are considered delusions because of this god delusion, even though the ideas do not conflate fact from fantasy in any way. Transgender, sexual fetishes, games, even cosplay are considered delusions and bad, by the delusion called religion.

Even today, people in the USA are allowed to discriminate, even commit violence, against these harmless and perfectly sane aspects of life. But we protect the obviously, demonstrably, harmful delusion called religion and allow it's followers to make laws for which the rest of us must abide by.

We, the USA, allow people who think they can make up reality as they go, to define what reality is for everyone. This makes the entire country delusional.

The False God

The redundant arguments of religious people, specifically theists, has reached a boiling point. Now is the time to watch them all collapse in a pool of their own drool as they realize just how stupid they sound.

At least this is what we should see, a decade ago. The fact that they are all using the same lame arguments from a decade or more, some over a thousand years old, shows their inability to even learn from their elders.

In the mid-eighties I had come across a portable computer that was entirely SSD technology, the memory was a partition in the storage. It was an experimental machine that a now forgotten company was testing in the market, and it failed then.

I loved it and looked forward to a day when memory was fluid, massive, and affordable, but no one wanted to ditch the disks. This is what it's like being an atheist, today we see SSD technology everywhere, it is the primary format for mass storage and RAM in almost everything we use.

The god claims are like the floppy disk, people refuse to ditch them in spite of then having been obsolete for many years now, sanity (AKA atheist) is the SSD technology that should have replaced the obsolete ideas long ago.

The reasons for people not wanting to advance are simpler, and more frightening, than one might expect. I am sure there are psychologists who would assert it's a complex issue, but they are often guilty of overanalyzing how people think anyway.

The reason is comforting complacency, the majority have grown comfortable just doing the same thing over and over even when it's a bad thing as a way to ignore the fear of the inevitable outcome. So long as they tow the line they are too busy to contemplate the thing they fear most, a thing that also proves they know their god does not exist, the thing we call death.

It is difficult, nearly impossible, to imagine not existing, the very notion frightens all intelligences. It should frighten us, it is the best reason to ditch superstition and embrace logic, reason, and the tools developed by our intelligence.

Because of modern science we can now expect to live until at least 80 years, 120 is the longest we can expect at this time. If we can advance that same medicine fast enough we may conquer mortality, we will essentially defy all proposed gods by doing this.

So why don't the preachers want this? If you remove the fear of death then you remove the illness their snake oil (the god) claims to cure, like we did with polio and measles we will accomplish this.

Religious people need to ask themselves if they would rather take a wager on their preacher being honest, or if they would rather defy their superstitions and be part of the first batch of immortal humans. I will defy your gods, as I have my entire life, only I will defy them by becoming immortal even if it means a war with theists.

Immortality not because of my fear of death, but because I want to see life on other worlds, and to traverse such distances we will need immortality. This also means we will need to be rid of religion, but if there is a god it is likely angry with religious people and pleased with us, those who do not worship false gods.

Think on that for just a moment, when you buy a religion you are not worshipping "whichever god is actually real," you are worshipping the claim made by a preacher of a god existing, you are worshipping a false god. In all religions worshipping the wrong god is far worse than worshipping no god.

There is the entire point religious leaders will kill to hide, for if any such god existed it would be more insulted for someone to worship a false god than for them to accomplish great things without worship. Think of it like a parent, you should want to see your child succeed where you fail, and thus your child must first reach your level, we must reach the level of a god before a god could be proud of it's creation.

So will you defy the god by worshipping your preachers' claims, or will you please the god that might exist by matching it's knowledge and power on your own?

The Livestock On The Streets

Recently I commented that Pepper, a gray tabby I adopted many months ago, has finally started acting like a cat again. The reason she was acting so different is that her previous human companions had betrayed her many times and for many years.

This reminds me that humanity had lost it's capacity for unconditional love and friendship with the advent of society. Our social structure has demanded we place not only conditions on everything, but also value and worth.

One thing caused this to happen, the cancer of religion. The delusion called god places conditions and value on it's favor and acceptance from the beginning, it is by doing this that leaders can guilt believers into giving them more "sacrifices."

Then children are indoctrinated into this notion that everything must be earned, even love. If something must be earned then it is conditional and has a social value, it can also be traded.

This has, ultimately, destroyed our specie's ability to comprehend what unconditional means, now we use that term incorrectly more than not. If you want to see unconditional love adopt a cat or dog from the Humane Society.

Even if they have been abused they will love the one who they live with once they adjust to their new location. Even if you strike one, causing pain, they will beg for your affection and attention, and they will be there when you are at your lowest.

Just thinking of harming an animal like that make my eyes tear up, it hurts me to think of them being hurt by my own species. We are not the only animals on the planet and it's time we learned what we have forgotten from the others before we destroy ourselves … and them.

Walking between shops and home I came to realize that humanity is nothing more than livestock, constantly breeding and then discarding the ones they don't like. If we were to love unconditionally this would be impossible, our species would slow it's breeding to protect everything from our own advances.

Many people think it's pollution itself that's the problem, they never want to admit it's because of how many humans there are. The amount of pollution per person is on par with other animals, pollution from one species is also a resource for another, as long as the other species has the same population …

Therein lies the problem, we have not only over populated, we are constantly destroying other species as well, playing as if we are privileged and smarter than the universe. We are, smarter, but we have not been around nearly as long.

The system we are part of is an ongoing set of chemical reactions that have equalized, balanced. We are disrupting this balance and then placing bandaids over the problems it's causing instead of doing the one simple thing we must do to survive: stop fucking.

Living in the Future - Chaos Incarnate

So what does it mean when we say we're living in the future?

This question dawned on me when I said the phrase to someone who is less tech capable than I, he had no idea what it means. The phrase was introduced to be through a song titled "Living in the Future" by Akira the Don.

Recently he did a version 2.0 then 2.5 was the one released, those are part of the title if you search YouTube. Listening to those songs in sequence will explain it to the musical artists and enthusiasts, the rest of you will just have to keep reading this.

When I was growing up we had a lot to worry about, medicine was still primitive and technology was both unwieldy and unconnected. We took the bus to school, and lugged massive backpacks full of heavy books, and our sack lunches were in actual sacks.

By the time I graduated from high school computers became manageable, music began sounding all the same, movies lost their luster, and phones became portable … the prices became obscene.

Then the internet happened, twenty years after I was born, twenty years too late for me to truly benefit from. Now kids can miss days in school and get their homework through electronic mail, email is what we call it now.

Most kids today can get away with using a kindle or tablet PC for all their school books, weighing less than 5 lbs. for all their books. Students can safely walk to school now, there are eyes everywhere so less crime and disappearances happen.

Medicine has made us nearly immortal, and in about 26 years it may do just that. We now have access to more movies, music, games, books, art, everything, and no one can say they don't find something they like online.

We now see, hear, and read facts with the lies, online we can see what is really happening anywhere, no more censored and doctored media monopoly. Truth is more clear and everything gets tested, only empirical evidence survives this scrutiny now.

We can not only talk to anyone we want at the touch of a button, we can now see them in real time over the networks. The wool our governments and religions placed over our eyes is now cast aside and we can see everything as it is.

The future today is today, because we have no idea what's next. When I was young we predicted all of this, smart phones and world wide access to information, friends across the globe, conquering of most illnesses, and the increase in exposure giving us more safety in the physical world.

But now we have run out of predictions, we are at a point in which anything goes, tomorrow we may conquer death itself, or land a human on Mars, or find intelligent life on another world. Tomorrow we may destroy ourselves, or perfect bio technology allowing us to enhance ourselves.

We may find a manufacturing method that makes everything so inexpensive that money becomes obsolete, or we may find a new valuable resource that will drive a wedge between the rich and poor causing another revolution.

We may see peace in the Middle East, though unlikely in my lifetime it is still possible. We may see religious people become intelligent and sane, or we will see them destroy our species just to protect their delusions.

No matter what happens from here, we are living in the future, and today is the best time to be alive.

Disproving Gods

Religion offers nothing positive to the species, and theism is a truly horrific thing. But that aside, let's disprove all gods and be done with it once and for all.

This is often thought of as impossible, but not if we use the modern definition of a god, the ones used by Christians and Muslims. This particular definition makes said god impossible to exist because of one simple fact, it demands infinite regression.

Religion as a whole is nothing more than fanciful stories, rituals, and essentially clubs. Nothing bad is inherent in these, until dogma is added, theism requires dogma.

Deism is often mistaken to theism, but it is not. Deism is theism without dogma, a very agnostic view in all reality, and technically deists are atheists.

The reason is that theism forces the deities to be human and necessary, this makes their gods impossible. For if everything requires a creator, then so does the creator require a creator.

This rather lame argument used by theists was started by the very primitive brain of pre-Stone Age humans. They were unable to comprehend the chemical reactions that occur all the time, much less the atomic reactions and forces involved.

When I was growing up I had studied Chaos Theory, at the time that's what it was called. After some discoveries Chaos Theory vanished and was replaced by a series of laws, mathematical formulas used to predict natural behaviors of reality.

I still call it Chaos Theory in casual discussion, and almost no layperson actually understands it. To my surprise it's a fundamental part of quantum mechanics now.

This simple yet profound change in knowledge illustrates how religion was born. I could start a cult by manipulating the people who know nothing of chaos as easily as one who manipulated those who did not understand the forces of nature.

The difference between me and a preacher is that I have morals and empathy. To manipulate the gullible fools in such a way would only be self destructive, for unless those fools become intelligent, we will die and the more fools there are the more horrible our deaths will be.

Preachers need to consider this point thoroughly, for it is with the tools created by our intelligence that we can have any possibility of avoiding this horrific fate. You need to become more self serving to avoid being self destructive.

The point often forgotten by religious people is that without a god we must protect the planet and our own species in order to survive, with a god you have no reason to worry about being good to anything. With a life after death you have no reason to worry about the life before it, without a life after death you must work to delay the inevitable annihilation.

This requires we stop being so selfish as to believe we are the "chosen" or some special species outside the laws of the wild and nature. We must accept our humble place as animals, dependent on this world, on this universe that so wants to destroy us, for our very existence.

We must be honest enough to admit that there is nothing out there that will save us from ourselves, we must do it all, as we always have, without help from some superior being. We must embrace our own existence to continue existing.

Blasphemy is Our Duty and Your Cure

The stories of people outraged over blasphemy in the USA are laughable, and more frightening than those of the Middle East. Freedom to worship what you want does not give you the freedom to place ideas ahead of lives, especially human lives.

But this is what we see more often than not in the USA still, and the law prosecutes those who blaspheme or mock religion as if they bombed an abortion clinic, but bombing an abortion clinic is treated like it's okay because it was his beliefs. The double standard is dangerous and will cause our country to fall behind even the Middle East in morals and ethics.

Many will attempt to call this a slippery slope fallacy, but we have seen it happen many times already. When ideas are given more value than human lives countries fall into chaos and war, innocent people are put to death without even breaking the insane blasphemy laws, and the land is taken over by religious gangs spreading their myths with violence and fear.

Here's the deal, all of you deluded enough to believe the myths told in books written thousands of years ago, if what you claim is truth truly had any value, it would be the inevitable outcome of any human logic. This means you would not have to teach it, especially indoctrinate children, nor spread it by force.

The very fact you have to protect your weak god with the use of force is undeniable proof your religion is nothing more than mythology and bad poetry. If your god were not weak, then you'd have nothing to fear when we deny the claim you make of him existing.

The irony of you creating laws to enforce arbitrary rules in the name of your god is evidence that either you don't know a god, or one does not even exist. The difference between an atheist and a theist is this: an atheist must justify our morals, religious people are never called to do that but they are the ones who would put a child to death just for insulting their doctrine or god.

The meat of this issue is that religious people prove their gods don't exist by their own actions, how they vote or why they attack others. They have no justification for their arbitrary rules, and when pressed they always point to the very books they never actually read, which is also a set of arbitrary claims.

So the irreligious atheists must ask for empirical evidence, and to date not one bit of evidence has been provided for any of the religious books. I challenge you to find some and present it for scrutiny.

Taking things on faith is admitting you don't know but just want to accept the claims to belong to a majority. The greatest thing about having a brain is that we can scrutinize everything to determine what is real, and what is just a shadow playing tricks on our mind.

Now people from the 80s and earlier are still naive and ignorant enough to forget that each generation knows more than the previous ones, we ride the shoulders of our elders to rise above their mistakes. So they complain about youth in the USA today being irreverent and unbehaved.

Let me remind you of what we did for entertainment in the 80s:

● My friends once got bored during Christmas and went through the neighborhood moving all the lawn decorations onto the roofs of every house, without the owner's knowledge. Nativity, cross, and Santa were all hanging out on the roofs of those who dared to make the neighborhood tacky with their manufactured crap.

● My brother, a few friends, and I snuck out in the middle of the night. After a rousing game of "hide/run from the cops" we decided to rip up all the temporary lines on the road, they were repaving and used reflective tape until they could paint it. We then made a huge peace sign in the middle of the neighborhood with them. It was even in the news, though no one knew it was us.

● Walking home from work was always risky, when I was 17. The gangs of the area made moving through the streets a life or death situation, and work was on the other side of several territories. I was accosted many times before I moved, simply for walking on their street.

● Downtown Seattle was worse when I was young. Many times you'd be mugged in broad daylight and no one helped because they feared becoming a victim themselves. In contrast to seeing even disabled and poor people today standing with the victim.

● Tucson was always overrun with weed smokers, I know, I was one of them. The cops could never catch us with evidence because we smoked it all up before they figured out we were high as kites. My friends there would regale me with tales of how the Wild West was still unlawful until the 90s. Even after the 90s we were certainly criminals, we just duked it out in video games instead of gunfire on the streets.

● Almost no one under 30 knew that an atom was made of smaller particles when I was growing up, and we also did not understand how chemicals reacted to DNA to produce the effect we call life. Today children in grade school are writing scientific papers, developing new technologies, and advancing our species beyond my generation's dreams.

So no, your religion does not deserve respect at all, and your delusions should be reason for treatment instead of a qualification for government office. But there is an easy and rather enjoyable cure for the delusion called god, learn the scientific method and apply it to everything in your life, you will see that learning this one tool will change your outlook for the better.

Science Deniers - Pitiful Empty Creatures

One of the greatest tools we have created is the one we call science, as it benefits everyone, even those who deny it. Speaking on science deniers, the two most heinous and prolific ones are those who try to oppose evolution and climate change.

The problem is jot that they disagree with a notion mentioned by the people who research these things, it's that neither know what they are even opposing yet present their opposition as if it's a well thought out argument. The reality is that these so called arguments are less than laughable, they are an embarrassment to the entire animal kingdom that we are part of.

Now, there are some climate change supporters who are also completely clueless, but that is another topic. The climate change is not itself a crisis, but when the media mentions it they are neglecting the rest of what they are truly attempting, and failing, to report on.

The problem that climatologists have noticed is an erratic and unexplainable variation of the expected climate change. One which correlates to human population growth increases caused by industrialization.

In other words, after eliminating the impossible, the most probable cause is our species, no matter how much we deny it. Industrialization was a great thing, it has allowed us to live much longer before, but like all good things, we must be careful when using it and work to avoid problems caused by the benefits.

Typically correlation does not equal causation, this is why the climatologists are still making certain they have eliminated all possible causes before announcing one as being definitive. A fact both sides ignore.

Catastrophic climate change deniers are the easy one to address, the morons who deny evolution are more complex, and thus I will be unable to address every point in one post. Denying evolution happens is denying a fact, unless you can present a better word for "a change in allele frequencies within a population over generations."

The core problem with those who deny evolution is that none of them even know what evolution is and often describe some caricaturization fed to them by scammers out to make a profit on their stupidity and laziness. The vast majority will cite religion as an alternative, the religion they have been sold to them by atheists who have so little empathy that they are willing to take advantage of those who are too lazy to learn anything, most often we call these scammers preachers or priests.

A perfect example of such a scammer is Kent Hovind, he even has the police record to prove it. Go ahead, look it up, this article is going nowehere.

Evolution deniers will often ask for "missing links," and when they do you can rest assured that they know nothing about evolution or biology, and less about genetics than a high school student in any civilized country. Asking for punctuations in a spectrum where there are no inherent boundaries with which to define such is extremely dishonest, and precisely what these poor fools have been told to ask for because the scammers who are taking their money know you cannot provide what never existed.

This idea of links and punctuations in biology lead then to think evolution is some form of cartoonish morphing or some other nonsense that would actually challenge the all theories of biology, including evolution. This is another tactic used by the scammers we call priests, ask for something that would destroy a theory as proof of said theory as a means of ensuring that if said evidence were presented they could then point out that the theory was wrong because of it.

Another very common spoonfed tactic is to redefine words used by others so as to make them appear to contradict the facts. If this tactic is used it is certain you are dealing with a scammer themselves, keep them talking if it's on a public forum as eventually even the least intelligent person will begin to see the dishonesty of the scammer.

The truly sad fact that deniers illustrate is that scammers are correct, there is a fool born every second, a wise person born only once a month. Take pity on them, but do not expect much for they are really just insecure and lonely, and so they seek out the popular clubs to forget how hollow and empty their lives truly are.

Mocking Religion Is Important

The answer to why we must mock religion is one I have touched on but never really answered directly. The answer is very simple, any ideology elevated above mockery becomes a tyranny.

Though ideology must never be above mockery, nothing is ever truly above mockery. Ridicule is the exception, ideology which is demonstrably harmful should be ridiculed, but other aspects of life should be off limits. Rule of thumb here, if it cannot be chosen then it's off limits unless it is demonstrably harmful.

The reason harmful ideologies must be ridiculed is to make them no longer acceptable, thus making them no longer harmful. Religion, as a whole, has been demonstrably harmful and is chosen. Prayer being an excellent example of the harm it causes to society.

Prayer has nothing to do with helping and everything to do with ego. People who pray are saying they are happy not actually doing anything but want everyone to think they are, so they announce that they are praying for someone who is suffering to draw attention to themselves, distracting from the person who is truly suffering.

We see this effect in medical doctors as well, the ideology has been acceptable for so long even the atheist doctors are willing to say platitudes in place of actually helping the patient, Virginia Mason and Harborview in Seattle do this quite a lot. Often prayer is used in place of real help resulting in the death of an innocent person, while the ones praying are allowed to continue to draw attention to themselves instead of being punished for their crimes.

Another event this problem often arises is when it takes very little to help, like say retweeting something on Twitter. Instead of tapping the retweet like they should, they just have to say "my prayers are with them." This makes it all about them and distracts from the actual problem. Some tweeps have actually gotten angry when I would point out how selfish they are being for saying such things.

To protect society from this selfishness and complacency, we mock prayer and religion, and ridicule the stupidity religion forces it's followers to embrace. Once it is no longer acceptable to harm others, or allow injustices to happen, because of religion, we will stop ridiculing and move on.

Now, before you get angry with any atheist who ridicules your religious nonsense, know this, we were once as stupid as you, and when we stopped being willfully ignorant we were ridiculed for wanting to learn, often abused for not accepting your myths, and distrusted for being more honest than any religious person has ever been. If you think silly pictures of your myths with phrases that show the idiotic ideas you believe are hurtful, at least we don't usually mock individuals until they display their stupidity.

We aren't attacking you, we are just telling the truth now.

What Is Evidence - Why the bible is not evidence.

Often when a christian is asked for evidence of their god they say the bible is the evidence. This is very fallacious, and does nothing but avoid the burden of proof. The reason they do this is because they have been indoctrinated into thinking that the bible is infallible, which is obviously not true of any religious doctrine for many reasons.

I will stick with the bible specifically, though this is true of all religious texts. The bible was written by a bunch of people during a time when education was lacking as well as understanding of how the universe works. It was written with one purpose in mind, a way to take advantage of the fears of people who knew nothing but had enough time to think of the really scary things, like death.

This fear of death is paralyzing, and when we are not struggling for survival our minds will often wander to this simple yet powerful fear. The advent of civilization gave people a lot of free time to sit and think about such things, so this fear became an everyday thing, and religious leaders saw this as the perfect opportunity to wrest control of the masses without bloodshed.

Sounds so great, until you realize they wanted the control to encourage more bloodshed against the people they didn't like. So that is why the book was written the way it was, full of contradictions as a means of endorsing anything the leader wanted endorsed at the time. Then should the leader change their mind they could recite the part that contradicts the original statement.

But the problem was how to convince the people that this one book was flawless, to convince them that it was perfect. To do that they had the brilliant idea of having the book assert it's own validity, thus no other evidence would be required. The problem is that this is just another assertion, and it's an assertion which cannot be supported by evidence in any way.

What that boils down to is that the bible is inherently false because it claims otherwise. Us atheists tend to call it circular reasoning, it's true because it claims to be true. This form of logic is a trap, intended to lure in the uneducated and stupid masses who toiled the fields and begged in the street.

So this leads to yet another point that explains how the bible cannot be evidence, it actually encourages people to remain naive, even praising stupidity and placing ignorance on a pedestal.  This is written in many places, repeated enough to actually encourage the believers to remain ignorant.

There is one tiny verse which contradicts this, which was added so the leaders could, again, insert what they want into the doctrine leaving the believers no reason to oppose it. Ultimately, the entire book is nothing more than a manual on brainwashing, and that can never be utilized as evidence for any assertion, especially for the claim of there being a specific god of any sort.

"God Blessed Me" - The Hidden Ulterior Motive

When people do things selflessly, they often have little more to say than "it was the right thing to do." The more honest one would say "I thought it was the right thing to do" however selflessness is what I am addressing here. Oddly, the most heroic people on the planet are almost never interviewed, because without an ulterior motive they offer the fewest catch phrases, and least content to their interviews, and that won't attract viewers, readers, or listeners to media outlets.

So instead we are inundated with fake heroes, often citing that some imaginary deity helped them, or even going so far as to stretch the truth of matters to nearly unbelievable tall tales. But the "god helped me to ..." is the most insidious of the ulterior motives, because it masks itself as being selfless. The problem is that the large population of religious people will, without question, think this person is somehow special, and that's what the person who makes such a statement really wants. Another version of this is calling it miraculous, when it was nothing more than someone doing something correct, for a change.

I am railing against religion often right now, but then I have seen many people in the news who are using their religious ideals in manners such as this, and real heroes lost in the avalanche of texts on Twitter and other social sites because of it. This is really just a short post, sort of an addendum to my last post, though the topic is just different enough warrant it's own post.

So next time you hear someone claim their imaginary friend, who lives in the sky, helped them, or that it was some miracle, ask them why they feel so unimportant in their lives as to make something up as a means of garnering attention from others.
