Christianity: Perpetual Persecution Complex

The notion of persecution is often perverted by the persecutors, religions demonstrate this all too well. Most contain commands to deny and even kill anything that opposes the claims made by their leaders, this gives the persecutors (religious followers) the feeling of being persecuted by the ones who stand up to their persecution.

Religious leaders depend on this perpetual persecution complex, the followers must believe they are always the victims even if they are the vast majority. One result of this complex is what we see in Indiana, a step to establishing a theocracy by encouraging the followers to discriminate and convince them that anyone opposed to this is persecuting them in the same thought.

The perpetual persecution complex of the christians has been responsible for untold horrors and the production of some of our greatest threats to peace and prosperity. However showing the follower what their beliefs have perpetuated will only trigger cognitive dissonance, which fuels theSo  persecution complex.

This is why we must work to prevent the indoctrination before it can establish this perpetual false victimhood in their minds, often something as simple as teaching critical thinking will inevitably result in too many unanswered questions from the leaders. The inability to answer questions with anything resembling sanity or fact is their weakness, all religions.

So get their leaders and parents talking, let them show their kids just how stupid religion has made them, let their kids see how insane their beliefs truly are. The christian rulers don't want them reading the bible, so post actual excerpts from that book regularly, it is the greatest too against itself, just focus on the crap they like to ignore.

Service Industry Sucks Because of the Customers

The thought of training new employees in food service still gives me nightmares, not because of the new employees. Customers to food service are often skewed by the stereotypes of the employees there, resulting in a tendency to be rude and abusive.

Many times the customer will believe a mistake is made when it wasn't then go into a fit of rage when this is pointed out. Cognitive dissonance accounts for some, but most often it is the arrogance of thinking the food service employee is below them before ever entering the establishment.

The thing is that being the customer does not always make you right, or even intelligent. To the contrary, in most cases.

Customers believe service employees can do anything the customer demands. Sorry but moving mountains is not within the power of service employees anymore than you.

Arrogance of the customer believes that the service employee is a leech on the system or a failure in life, which is far from true. Most service employees are, in fact, people trying to make it in spite of the odds being stacked against them by you, the customer.

Recently businesses have had to always take the employee's side because the problems caused by customer arrogance. Now you have a really good reason to make most service employees love you, that means be courteous, friendly, and tip well.

But I know most customers will not do this, most will continue to be total assholes toward every employee because of their arrogance. So thanks, you assholes, for shooting your own foots off.

Now here's the kicker, consider this exact same problem applies to religion. Customers being the theists, and service employees being the atheists.

So that leads me to this final thought: Thank you, theists, for destroying your own religions.

Civility is Tyranny from Religion

Civility is one concept that has been redefined by idiots to mean that anyone who disagrees is just rude. It's a method of avoiding admitting they are too stupid or ignorant on a subject to be saying anything.

Civility has nothing to do with agreeing, or with the use of slang, or even insults and other such things, except that all those are part of being civil. At it's basic definition, civil is essentially a synonym for social, as to interact with someone of the same species.

The part of the word's definition that religious people abuse is the inclusion of social laws, rules of conduct which we assume others follow within any given situation. But these rules change with every combination of social structure, setting, and level of familiarity.

This means that being civil on one website on the internet can be very different from being civil on another and is certainly very different than civility on the street. Civility on the street has a different set of behaviors than civility within an office, and the difference between an office and home life is practically contradictory.

Religious people attempt to force everyone in all these situations to follow the social rules of their delusion, basically how one pretends to behave in church. The irony here is that they never behave how they assume others should behave anyway, it's one of many hypocrisies of religion.

Too add insult to injury, civility has nothing to do with language or words. That's gotta fucking hurt, Christians and Muslims.

USA, Home Of The Delusional

The price of religious belief is often obfuscated by the closet believers, those idiots who always defend religion with the old canard of "what's wrong with …" The fact is that everything is wrong with religion, everything.

I have gone into great detail about many of the inherent flaws with any belief that opposes reality, and why there are no true moderates. But one thing I never dud was state the simplest reason why belief that opposes reality is dangerous, because I always thought this was common sense.

If a delusion is present in one person we know they are at risk of that delusion causing their detachment from reality to affect their actions, bringing harm to themselves and others. We also know that the delusion will mask other possible mental problems, seriously dangerous and violent ones.

So we closely monitor this person for signs of other such dangers to reduce the chances of them bringing harm, making it possible to step in and hopefully prevent their delusion from getting out of hand. Now assume we did not recognize the delusion, or we called it something else, and considered it acceptable.

Delusions have this funny effect, making a person lose their ability to discern reality from imagination. When the delusion focuses on a television series we immediately understand the fact that it's delusion.

But when the same level of delusion focuses on a god we dismiss it as belief or religion. We make the delusion acceptable and pay less or no attention to those who suffer from it, but it is no less a loss of ability to discern fact from fantasy.

To make matters worse, many ideas that are common in humans are considered delusions because of this god delusion, even though the ideas do not conflate fact from fantasy in any way. Transgender, sexual fetishes, games, even cosplay are considered delusions and bad, by the delusion called religion.

Even today, people in the USA are allowed to discriminate, even commit violence, against these harmless and perfectly sane aspects of life. But we protect the obviously, demonstrably, harmful delusion called religion and allow it's followers to make laws for which the rest of us must abide by.

We, the USA, allow people who think they can make up reality as they go, to define what reality is for everyone. This makes the entire country delusional.

The False God

The redundant arguments of religious people, specifically theists, has reached a boiling point. Now is the time to watch them all collapse in a pool of their own drool as they realize just how stupid they sound.

At least this is what we should see, a decade ago. The fact that they are all using the same lame arguments from a decade or more, some over a thousand years old, shows their inability to even learn from their elders.

In the mid-eighties I had come across a portable computer that was entirely SSD technology, the memory was a partition in the storage. It was an experimental machine that a now forgotten company was testing in the market, and it failed then.

I loved it and looked forward to a day when memory was fluid, massive, and affordable, but no one wanted to ditch the disks. This is what it's like being an atheist, today we see SSD technology everywhere, it is the primary format for mass storage and RAM in almost everything we use.

The god claims are like the floppy disk, people refuse to ditch them in spite of then having been obsolete for many years now, sanity (AKA atheist) is the SSD technology that should have replaced the obsolete ideas long ago.

The reasons for people not wanting to advance are simpler, and more frightening, than one might expect. I am sure there are psychologists who would assert it's a complex issue, but they are often guilty of overanalyzing how people think anyway.

The reason is comforting complacency, the majority have grown comfortable just doing the same thing over and over even when it's a bad thing as a way to ignore the fear of the inevitable outcome. So long as they tow the line they are too busy to contemplate the thing they fear most, a thing that also proves they know their god does not exist, the thing we call death.

It is difficult, nearly impossible, to imagine not existing, the very notion frightens all intelligences. It should frighten us, it is the best reason to ditch superstition and embrace logic, reason, and the tools developed by our intelligence.

Because of modern science we can now expect to live until at least 80 years, 120 is the longest we can expect at this time. If we can advance that same medicine fast enough we may conquer mortality, we will essentially defy all proposed gods by doing this.

So why don't the preachers want this? If you remove the fear of death then you remove the illness their snake oil (the god) claims to cure, like we did with polio and measles we will accomplish this.

Religious people need to ask themselves if they would rather take a wager on their preacher being honest, or if they would rather defy their superstitions and be part of the first batch of immortal humans. I will defy your gods, as I have my entire life, only I will defy them by becoming immortal even if it means a war with theists.

Immortality not because of my fear of death, but because I want to see life on other worlds, and to traverse such distances we will need immortality. This also means we will need to be rid of religion, but if there is a god it is likely angry with religious people and pleased with us, those who do not worship false gods.

Think on that for just a moment, when you buy a religion you are not worshipping "whichever god is actually real," you are worshipping the claim made by a preacher of a god existing, you are worshipping a false god. In all religions worshipping the wrong god is far worse than worshipping no god.

There is the entire point religious leaders will kill to hide, for if any such god existed it would be more insulted for someone to worship a false god than for them to accomplish great things without worship. Think of it like a parent, you should want to see your child succeed where you fail, and thus your child must first reach your level, we must reach the level of a god before a god could be proud of it's creation.

So will you defy the god by worshipping your preachers' claims, or will you please the god that might exist by matching it's knowledge and power on your own?

The Livestock On The Streets

Recently I commented that Pepper, a gray tabby I adopted many months ago, has finally started acting like a cat again. The reason she was acting so different is that her previous human companions had betrayed her many times and for many years.

This reminds me that humanity had lost it's capacity for unconditional love and friendship with the advent of society. Our social structure has demanded we place not only conditions on everything, but also value and worth.

One thing caused this to happen, the cancer of religion. The delusion called god places conditions and value on it's favor and acceptance from the beginning, it is by doing this that leaders can guilt believers into giving them more "sacrifices."

Then children are indoctrinated into this notion that everything must be earned, even love. If something must be earned then it is conditional and has a social value, it can also be traded.

This has, ultimately, destroyed our specie's ability to comprehend what unconditional means, now we use that term incorrectly more than not. If you want to see unconditional love adopt a cat or dog from the Humane Society.

Even if they have been abused they will love the one who they live with once they adjust to their new location. Even if you strike one, causing pain, they will beg for your affection and attention, and they will be there when you are at your lowest.

Just thinking of harming an animal like that make my eyes tear up, it hurts me to think of them being hurt by my own species. We are not the only animals on the planet and it's time we learned what we have forgotten from the others before we destroy ourselves … and them.

Walking between shops and home I came to realize that humanity is nothing more than livestock, constantly breeding and then discarding the ones they don't like. If we were to love unconditionally this would be impossible, our species would slow it's breeding to protect everything from our own advances.

Many people think it's pollution itself that's the problem, they never want to admit it's because of how many humans there are. The amount of pollution per person is on par with other animals, pollution from one species is also a resource for another, as long as the other species has the same population …

Therein lies the problem, we have not only over populated, we are constantly destroying other species as well, playing as if we are privileged and smarter than the universe. We are, smarter, but we have not been around nearly as long.

The system we are part of is an ongoing set of chemical reactions that have equalized, balanced. We are disrupting this balance and then placing bandaids over the problems it's causing instead of doing the one simple thing we must do to survive: stop fucking.

Disproving Gods

Religion offers nothing positive to the species, and theism is a truly horrific thing. But that aside, let's disprove all gods and be done with it once and for all.

This is often thought of as impossible, but not if we use the modern definition of a god, the ones used by Christians and Muslims. This particular definition makes said god impossible to exist because of one simple fact, it demands infinite regression.

Religion as a whole is nothing more than fanciful stories, rituals, and essentially clubs. Nothing bad is inherent in these, until dogma is added, theism requires dogma.

Deism is often mistaken to theism, but it is not. Deism is theism without dogma, a very agnostic view in all reality, and technically deists are atheists.

The reason is that theism forces the deities to be human and necessary, this makes their gods impossible. For if everything requires a creator, then so does the creator require a creator.

This rather lame argument used by theists was started by the very primitive brain of pre-Stone Age humans. They were unable to comprehend the chemical reactions that occur all the time, much less the atomic reactions and forces involved.

When I was growing up I had studied Chaos Theory, at the time that's what it was called. After some discoveries Chaos Theory vanished and was replaced by a series of laws, mathematical formulas used to predict natural behaviors of reality.

I still call it Chaos Theory in casual discussion, and almost no layperson actually understands it. To my surprise it's a fundamental part of quantum mechanics now.

This simple yet profound change in knowledge illustrates how religion was born. I could start a cult by manipulating the people who know nothing of chaos as easily as one who manipulated those who did not understand the forces of nature.

The difference between me and a preacher is that I have morals and empathy. To manipulate the gullible fools in such a way would only be self destructive, for unless those fools become intelligent, we will die and the more fools there are the more horrible our deaths will be.

Preachers need to consider this point thoroughly, for it is with the tools created by our intelligence that we can have any possibility of avoiding this horrific fate. You need to become more self serving to avoid being self destructive.

The point often forgotten by religious people is that without a god we must protect the planet and our own species in order to survive, with a god you have no reason to worry about being good to anything. With a life after death you have no reason to worry about the life before it, without a life after death you must work to delay the inevitable annihilation.

This requires we stop being so selfish as to believe we are the "chosen" or some special species outside the laws of the wild and nature. We must accept our humble place as animals, dependent on this world, on this universe that so wants to destroy us, for our very existence.

We must be honest enough to admit that there is nothing out there that will save us from ourselves, we must do it all, as we always have, without help from some superior being. We must embrace our own existence to continue existing.

Religion - A Delusion By Any Other Name is Still Delusion

The only consistency of religious people is a total lack of comprehension of the difference between fact and fiction. This is even seen in the very few religious people smart enough to understand the scientific method and why it works, think about it though, they don't apply said method to the thing which they use to define their life the most.

I will grant those few intelligent religious people one thing, they know they have no evidence supporting their god claims. Many pagans go one step further and just admit it's a placebo for them, which is the most honest thing a theist could ever say.

But let's focus in the intellectually retarded people who claim to know their god exists and then never once present evidence. One of my friends in Twitter calls then Tortucans, apt but the reference is obscure, I prefer to just call them what they are, deluded.

The nature of delusion was clouded by centuries of psychiatric mumbo jumbo, but modern psychology has managed to unravel the evidence and find the truth on the matter. Psychiatrists do not like the facts on this because they cannot use it as an excuse to abuse patients and kill perfectly healthy people anymore, to them I say fuck you, you are wrong, deal with it.

The simplest definition of delusion is a belief that opposes demonstrable reality, but this definition is for to broad and ends up including optical illusions as well. Optical illusions are not delusion, they are momentary and cannot be avoided, delusion can be permanent and is usually avoidable.

The fact of the matter is that the vast majority of people choose delusion over fact, because delusion is simple and comforting, like a pacifier to an ape infant. So a more accurate definition in the simplistic vernacular that even someone as idiotic as a cretin can understand is: an explanation of reality that opposes or denies demonstrable facts or empirical evidence.

The god delusion is the perfect example, let's choose one of the over 3,000 god delusions to demonstrate, Athena is a perfect choice for this demonstration. When a person is indoctrinated, the delusion is not inherent but the resistance to said delusion is decreased drastically.

In her heyday, when the majority believed she was the greatest of the gods, Athena was given credit for emotions. Today we understand emotions so well we can actually control them using refined chemical compounds called medicine.

Back then the children were constantly told that no one can understand emotions because it would upset Athena, and thus you should just accept them and stop asking questions. They did just that, and for a century no one ever thought to find a way to help those plagued with uncontrollable emotional responses that made them dangerous to society.

Along comes a new god, more popular because he encouraged humans to seek answers, as long as they were subjugate to him and not Athena. So the kids were told not to question that god but to question all the others instead.

The result is doubt for what anyone said but those who claimed to hear this god, the new delusion of the century. The trick of this is that it made the people no longer accept the Athena claims, but kept them blind to the new claims, and when they got to the age of reason this was habit.

This habit of not questioning something that clearly is untrue is called delusion, the loss of the Athena delusion allowed the medical class to eventually find medicines to help calm emotional responses, but the new god that took her place was given credit for lightning and thus people stopped looking for ways to harness that power. The ultimate cost of the god delusions.

Now we have discarded both of those and began studying electricity, chemical compounds, even the forces of nature, because those delusions no longer plague us. A new set of delusions does plague us, ones which threaten our medical advances by discouraging study into biological sciences necessary for further advancement.

To make this worse, this delusion is still packaged by people who do not suffer the delusion and sold to those they know are gullible enough to buy it, we call those snake oil salesmen preachers. We call the gullible sods too stupid to question the preachers theists.

But to get these deluded people help we must destroy the barrier they claim as freedom or tolerance by ridicule and mockery, until religion is no longer protected or given special privilege our species will always be oppressed by it. This delusion is not easy to break through either, science has gotten so much evidence and collected so many facts as to appear scary to the deluded fools.

Religion continues to offer an excuse for the comforts of egocentrism, arrogance, and even crimes against the universe. Religion also offers easy responses to complex problems, and these responses appear to be answers but do not truly offer anything useful.

Those who claim that this is just a placebo, also known as "moderates," are infected by the delusion as well and displaying cognitive dissonance in such responses. Moderate atheists are just enabler, moderate religious people do not actually exist because they still follow that horrible doctrine.

This is why I give special consideration for pagans, you will never hear one pagan use the no true Scotsman fallacy or claim there are moderates, because they learned their lesson and ditched the delusion and the horrible doctrines while admitting that others could exist who still follow the bad ideas. The reason for this difference is that pagans admit everything must change for it to be perfect.

Animals - Our Best Family Members

It is often pointed out that "today's animal abuser is tomorrow's serial killer" by us animal rights activists, but many still ignore the impact religious doctrine has on this phenomenon. Continuing on my "why there are no true moderates in religion" line of discussion.

For a human to bring harm to any other living thing they must believe themselves to be different from that which they kill, such as not being an animal in spite of being the very definition of what an animal is. This allows them to ignore their empathy, conscience, the very things that make them mammals.

In essence, religion makes one behave like reptiles, we should have evolved beyond such behaviors. For this reason, today's believer is ultimately tomorrow's serial killer.

Once a person believes they are in any way better than anything else without earning such a title, they no longer worry about destroying it. This is why religious people must oppose any efforts to protect the environment, defend other animals, even deny our inherent and proven connection to the other animals.

Many will claim this is only the fundamentalists, but then ignore the fact that the ones they claim to be moderates are following the same doctrine, and prone to the same violent responses when their doctrine is challenged. When something need interpreting it is no longer objective, nor fact, and all interpretations become just as valid.

This opens the gateway for the religious preachers, their leaders, to change the interpretation when it suits them, and then convince the followers to do anything they want. We see this every day, in all countries that give religion special status.

To become more specific I will focus on the one I know best, the bible followers. Putting aside the hundreds of different versions and thousands of different "interpretations," the book was written to be contradictory as a tool to control the mindless masses it produces.

The scam of the bible is, itself, a wonderful example of how human thoughts can be manipulated when the human is prevented access to any information that contradicts it. The oldest snake oil claim is "anyone who denies my words is merely a tool for the opposition," a phrase reworded many times in all religious texts that claim absolutes.

A quick side note, the pagan religions rarely claim absolutes so I do acknowledge that some religious beliefs are nit founded on the delusion of an absolute. Please do not consider yourselves the same as Christian, Islam, or even Judaism. Judaism is one that's quiet but still a possible threat, which is why most Jewish people, like me, no longer follow it.

The doctrine of the absolute claims contain many verses discouraging the exploration of reality, thus allowing the leader to supplant whatever reality they wish into the masses. Then the doctrine commands that the followers breed more, and indoctrinate their offspring, thus increasing the number of mindless slaves to the religious leaders.

See, the one way to actually break this cycle of indoctrination is for us atheists to accept responsibility, for the religious leaders are our bad apples. Religious leaders are the atheists who consider the masses so stupid that they can be manipulated with something so obviously a scam.

Eventually the religious followers will see it, the more we remind them that their leaders think they are fools enough to fall for their scam, a scam created by atheists to allow atheists to manipulate the masses, a scam called religion. Reminding them of this fact will push them to begin to break the indoctrination, because it is the last realization of any atheist.

I first noticed this fact when I was really young, about 10 years of age. When the religious leaders of the church first discovered I was asking questions that shattered the doctrine they took me aside and filled my time with teaching instead of learning it.

I was about 8 years of age when they first began to prepare me for helping them to manipulate the flock of sheep, to prepare these sheep for whatever slaughter they wished. After a couple years I began to see what was truly going on, behind the curtains, where even the elders of the church were not allowed, but they allowed me there.

My mother thought it was some calling from their god, the leaders told her that, and she was so very proud in spite of the fact that even if this was true, she had nothing to do with it. It was my deductive reasoning that conquered all indoctrination, making it impossible for them to convince me that snakes talked, even as a metaphor. But it was my empathy and conscience that prevented me from accepting this chance to rule.

It also had a bit to do with the misogyny, a thing I could not support even before transitioning. Males were the ones in charge, because women were too kind to spread the indoctrination and scam, if they had not denied the genetic cause of being transgendered they'd have realized I was more woman than their own wives.

So I bided my time, pretending to lead while actually empowering the other youth, my mother bought it, and only a few of those youth still believe that religious nonsense because of my efforts. Yes, it is us who are ultimately destroying religion, the ones Christians attack and deny exist, as we hide among you to avoid your wrath and violence.

Now some preachers who are cishet have also joined the effort to destroy the  hold religion has, I shall not name them, nor shall I say which churches they reside over, but their efforts are noted by me. Today is the greatest day to be alive, for it is always a step forward.

Mocking Religion Is Important

The answer to why we must mock religion is one I have touched on but never really answered directly. The answer is very simple, any ideology elevated above mockery becomes a tyranny.

Though ideology must never be above mockery, nothing is ever truly above mockery. Ridicule is the exception, ideology which is demonstrably harmful should be ridiculed, but other aspects of life should be off limits. Rule of thumb here, if it cannot be chosen then it's off limits unless it is demonstrably harmful.

The reason harmful ideologies must be ridiculed is to make them no longer acceptable, thus making them no longer harmful. Religion, as a whole, has been demonstrably harmful and is chosen. Prayer being an excellent example of the harm it causes to society.

Prayer has nothing to do with helping and everything to do with ego. People who pray are saying they are happy not actually doing anything but want everyone to think they are, so they announce that they are praying for someone who is suffering to draw attention to themselves, distracting from the person who is truly suffering.

We see this effect in medical doctors as well, the ideology has been acceptable for so long even the atheist doctors are willing to say platitudes in place of actually helping the patient, Virginia Mason and Harborview in Seattle do this quite a lot. Often prayer is used in place of real help resulting in the death of an innocent person, while the ones praying are allowed to continue to draw attention to themselves instead of being punished for their crimes.

Another event this problem often arises is when it takes very little to help, like say retweeting something on Twitter. Instead of tapping the retweet like they should, they just have to say "my prayers are with them." This makes it all about them and distracts from the actual problem. Some tweeps have actually gotten angry when I would point out how selfish they are being for saying such things.

To protect society from this selfishness and complacency, we mock prayer and religion, and ridicule the stupidity religion forces it's followers to embrace. Once it is no longer acceptable to harm others, or allow injustices to happen, because of religion, we will stop ridiculing and move on.

Now, before you get angry with any atheist who ridicules your religious nonsense, know this, we were once as stupid as you, and when we stopped being willfully ignorant we were ridiculed for wanting to learn, often abused for not accepting your myths, and distrusted for being more honest than any religious person has ever been. If you think silly pictures of your myths with phrases that show the idiotic ideas you believe are hurtful, at least we don't usually mock individuals until they display their stupidity.

We aren't attacking you, we are just telling the truth now.

What Is Evidence - Why the bible is not evidence.

Often when a christian is asked for evidence of their god they say the bible is the evidence. This is very fallacious, and does nothing but avoid the burden of proof. The reason they do this is because they have been indoctrinated into thinking that the bible is infallible, which is obviously not true of any religious doctrine for many reasons.

I will stick with the bible specifically, though this is true of all religious texts. The bible was written by a bunch of people during a time when education was lacking as well as understanding of how the universe works. It was written with one purpose in mind, a way to take advantage of the fears of people who knew nothing but had enough time to think of the really scary things, like death.

This fear of death is paralyzing, and when we are not struggling for survival our minds will often wander to this simple yet powerful fear. The advent of civilization gave people a lot of free time to sit and think about such things, so this fear became an everyday thing, and religious leaders saw this as the perfect opportunity to wrest control of the masses without bloodshed.

Sounds so great, until you realize they wanted the control to encourage more bloodshed against the people they didn't like. So that is why the book was written the way it was, full of contradictions as a means of endorsing anything the leader wanted endorsed at the time. Then should the leader change their mind they could recite the part that contradicts the original statement.

But the problem was how to convince the people that this one book was flawless, to convince them that it was perfect. To do that they had the brilliant idea of having the book assert it's own validity, thus no other evidence would be required. The problem is that this is just another assertion, and it's an assertion which cannot be supported by evidence in any way.

What that boils down to is that the bible is inherently false because it claims otherwise. Us atheists tend to call it circular reasoning, it's true because it claims to be true. This form of logic is a trap, intended to lure in the uneducated and stupid masses who toiled the fields and begged in the street.

So this leads to yet another point that explains how the bible cannot be evidence, it actually encourages people to remain naive, even praising stupidity and placing ignorance on a pedestal.  This is written in many places, repeated enough to actually encourage the believers to remain ignorant.

There is one tiny verse which contradicts this, which was added so the leaders could, again, insert what they want into the doctrine leaving the believers no reason to oppose it. Ultimately, the entire book is nothing more than a manual on brainwashing, and that can never be utilized as evidence for any assertion, especially for the claim of there being a specific god of any sort.
